OSi is now seeking submissions by Master’s degree students to submit a copy of their Master’s Degree Thesis (or similar substantial work) for assessment by a team representing OSi, academia, and the private Geographic Information sector. Shortlisting may apply, and candidates may be required to deliver a presentation. The submission which is considered to be of the highest standard will be awarded a sum of €5,000.
Please complete this application form:
To be eligible, applicants will have been awarded a Master’s degree in recent years, or expect to have their thesis completed in 2017 prior to the closing date. The subject matter should be of general relevance to the work of Ordnance Survey Ireland, and to the Geographic Information sector generally. The scope is purposely broad, with the intention of encouraging a broad field of research.
Only one award will be made. OSi expects a high standard – it must be noted that in the event that no thesis is considered to be of the required standard, then no award will be made. Please see Terms and Conditions here.
