2015 Statement

The positional accuracy results of the quality assessment work from 2004 to 2014 are as follows:

In urban, suburban and periurban mapping, the results of testing 36,929 points of hard detail are that 93.2% of the points in the mapping are within 1 metre of their true ground position, and 99.1% of points are within 2 metres of their true ground position.

In rural mapping, the results of testing 19,618 points of hard detail are that 97.8% of points in the mapping are within 2.5 metres of their true ground position, and 99.9% of points are within 5 metres of their true ground position.

2014 Statement

The positional accuracy results of the quality assessment work from 2004 to 2013 are as follows:

In urban, suburban and periurban mapping, the results of testing 36,574 points of hard detail are that 93.2% of the points in the mapping are within 1 metre of their true ground position, and 99.1% of points are within 2 metres of their true ground position.

In rural mapping, the results of testing 19,044 points of hard detail are that 97.8% of points in the mapping are within 2.5 metres of their true ground position, and 99.9% of points are within 5 metres of their true ground position.

The positional accuracy results of the quality assessment work from 2004 to 2012 are as follows:

In urban, suburban and periurban mapping, the results of testing 32,165 points of hard detail are that 93% of the points in the mapping are within 1 metre of their true ground position, and 99% of points are within 2 metres of their true ground position.

In rural mapping, the results of testing 14,999 points of hard detail are that 97.6% of points in the mapping are within 2.5 metres of their true ground position, and 99.9% of points are within 5 metres of their true ground position.

2012 Statement

The positional accuracy results of the quality assessment work from 2004 to 2011 are as follows:

In urban, suburban and periurban mapping, the results of testing 27,482 points of hard detail are that 92% of the points in the mapping are within 1 metre of their true ground position, and 99% of points are within 2 metres of their true ground position.

In rural mapping, the results of testing 13,155 points of hard detail are that 97.6% of points in the mapping are within 2.5 metres of their true ground position, and 99.9% of points are within 5 metres of their true ground position.
