OSi Website wins Innovating Government Award
Ordnance Survey Ireland website wins Vodafone Innovation in Government award for Services to Customers.
At a ceremony in Dublin Castle, Ordnance Survey Ireland was presented with a Vodafone Innovating Government Award for Services to Customers. The awards, which were presented by government chief whip and Minister of State at the department of An Taoiseach, Pat Carey, identify and promote excellence and pioneering initiatives in all areas in the public sector.
Commenting on the Vodafone awards, An Taoiseach, Brian Cowen, said: "For my government, it is a priority to bring about further improvement in the effectiveness with which public business is transacted. These awards complement that objective and encourage good practice and good value throughout the Irish public service as well as a willingness to engage in achieving even more for the citizen. I congratulate each of the Award winners for their innovation and determination to improve the value and impact of public services across all sectors."
