Wind Resource Map

Ireland has one of the greatest wind energy resources in Europe. This map provides detailed information on wind speeds, electricity transmission and distribution networks for specific locations around Ireland at national and county levels.

Wind mapping was developed in conjunction with Sustainable Energy Ireland and overlays Wind Atlas Data with OSi mapping. This is available in A4 or A3 format. Wind speeds are displayed per meter / per second for onshore or off shore locations and are a valuable source of reference for wind farm developers.
