All Ordnance Survey Ireland and Government of Ireland mapping, data and publications are protected under the Copyright and related Act 2000. Anyone wishing to copy or reproduce OSi mapping or data must request prior written permission before doing so.
There are three methods of obtaining copyright permission to reproduce OSi mapping and data:
Copyright Permit
This permit is available to those who wish to incorporate OSi mapping and data into publications such as books, flyers, press and media, academic reports etc.

Annual Copyright Licence
This licence is available to Professionals and Businesses who wish to obtain permission to reproduce OSi mapping for use within their business environment. Some examples of the sectors which avail of this licence are:
Architects Engineers and Surveyors - Licence benefits include the submission of copyright compliant reproduced OSi mapping for planning permission, property registration etc.
Auctioneers, Estate Agents and Valuers - Licence benefits include the reproduction of OSi mapping for property promotion within brochures.
Solicitors and Legal Firms – Licence Benefits include the copyright compliant reproduction of OSi and mapping for conveyance and land ownership purposes.

Internet Copyright Licences:
This licence incorporates the use of OSi mapping and data on the web. This can be used for directional and business location purposes. Also clubs, committees and associations can display mapping to promote events, venues and topographical or spatial information.
