The Archaeological Branch (Dúchas) conducts surveys of Irelands Megalithic monuments. The results are published in the Volumes of the Survey of The Megalithic Tombs of Ireland which may be purchased through the Government Publications Office in Molesworth St. Dublin 2.

Liostaí Logainmneacha Series

The Placenames Branch (Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands) has published a series of six volumes covering Louth, Limerick, Waterford, Offaly, Kilkenny and Monaghan giving the official Irish and English placenames in those counties . In addition a volume detailing the documentary evidence found in researching the placenames of Limerick has been published under a series title Logainmneacha na hÉireann.
