The Smalls Areas is a new national boundaries dataset which nests into the Electoral Districts boundaries, with each small area having a minimum of 65 households. The Small Area boundaries were generated using two bespoke algorithms which incorporated the ED and Townland boundaries, ortho-photography, large-scale vector data and GeoDirectory data.
