National Boundaries Dataset

County Boundary, Electoral Division (ED’s) and Townland boundaries are supplied as attributed polygon structures, and are capable of incorporation into Geographical Information Systems; these products are suitable for use as a demographic analysis tool, particularly in conjunction with census data.

The County, ED’s and Townlands are digitised from OSi large scale data at 1:1,000, 1:2,500 and 1:5,000 scale, and are available on a county or national basis in DXF, SHP and TAB formats. All boundaries are available in both IG and ITM.
