Batch Converter

Select the co-ordinate system you are converting from (e.g. Irish Grid) and the co-ordinate system you wish to convert to (e.g. ITM).

Click the 'Browse' button to select an input file from your computer, then click the 'Convert' button to upload your file and convert the co-ordinates.

Important

Please read the following notes carefully before uploading a file for conversion.

• Your file must be a Comma Seperated Value file (CSV), with the extension '.csv'.
• The file size of your file must be less than 8096 bytes.
• Any lines with a first character ',' will be ignored by the conversion process.
• Only one co-ordinate system can be used in each file.
• The 'Convert from' value must match the co-ordinate system used in the input CSV file.
• Each line of co-ordinates must conform to the relevant format listed below.

For GPS co-ordinates, each line must have the station name, followed by the latitude and longitude in degrees, minutes and seconds, and finally the ellipsoid height.

StationName,deg,min,sec,deg,min,sec,height

For example:
Athlone,53,25,55.82,-7,54,27.462,114.08

For all other co-ordinates, each line must have station name, followed by the easting, northing and orthometric height.

StationName,easting,northing,height

For example, using Irish Grid:

Athlone,206188.957,242431.363,57.253

Note that heights and station names are optional, and can be left blank if required. The commas seperating these blank values must be included.

For example, using Irish Grid with no station name or height specified:
